For manufacturers of EPS products, the precision of density control during the pre-expansion process directly determines the weight, strength, and cost of the final product. The Epsole EPS pre-expander utilizes a PID closed-loop temperature and pressure control system, combined with optimized steam and compressed air piping, to ensure uniform bead density in every batch (with a fluctuation of ≤ ±0.5 g/L). Capable of achieving expansion ratios ranging from 20 to 50 times, it provides the ideal raw material for subsequent molding processes.

Utilizing high-precision pressure sensors and a PLC-based closed-loop control system, the machine monitors internal temperature and pressure in real-time, automatically adjusting steam flow to ensure that the density fluctuation of the pre-expanded beads remains within ≤±0.5 g/L (based on a target density of 15 g/L). This ensures consistent finished product weight after molding, thereby minimizing raw material waste.

Available in two major series: Batch-type (50–200 kg per batch) and Continuous-type (150–800 kg/h). The Batch-type is ideal for multi-variety, small-batch production, while the Continuous-type is optimized for large-scale production of a single density. Optimized agitation and steam distribution mechanisms shorten the foaming cycle time per batch or per unit of time.

Features a highly efficient insulated vessel body and an optimized steam injection structure to minimize heat loss. Steam consumption is reduced by 15–20% compared to traditional models (producing 18 g/L beads requires approximately 280–350 kg of steam per ton). An optional steam recovery system is available for further energy savings.

Equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen interface featuring 50 pre-loaded recipes (covering density, temperature, and time parameters). Operators can initiate the entire process-including automatic feeding, heating, agitation, and discharging-with a single touch by simply selecting the desired recipe. The system supports historical data logging and USB export capabilities, facilitating easy process traceability.

The vessel body and all components in contact with the raw materials are constructed from SUS304 stainless steel with a thickness of 5–8 mm, offering excellent resistance to steam corrosion and ensuring a service life of over 10 years. The agitation shaft undergoes specialized wear-resistant treatment, while the bearings are sourced from world-renowned international brands such as NSK and SKF.
